MARIELA RUBIO DÍAZ

Hi there!

I'm Mariela Rubio Diaz, i'm a storyboard artist and 2D animator based in Barcelona.

​

I've been fascinated by the world of storyboard since I was a teen. After finishing high school I pursued a degree in 2D and 3D animation at the EASD (Escuela de Arte y Diseño de Alcoy) and learned the basics of storyboarding from friends at school who were already working in the medium. My peers advised me to better my animation skills as it would be a great asset for a storyboard artist.

Following their guidance I enrolled in the Masters degree for 2D animation at the ECIB (Escuela de Cine de Barcelona). After attending the storyboard classes imparted by Pedro Muñoz I became determined in specializing as a storyboard artist.

The next year I signed up for Pedro's Master's Degree on storyboard and began my professional training.

Now that I’ve finished I couldn't be happier to begin my professional journey as a storyboard artist.
